The Winterball of 2013 was a great success! Thank you to all who came out and supported The Arc of Cabarrus County in a night of dancing, delicious food and drink, and the company of great people. Without our friends, volunteers, members, and more The Arc wouldn't be able to do what it does. Thank you for a wonderful year, and we look forward to 2013!

Thank you to all who came out and enjoyed a great time full of good food and crazy dancing at this year's Annual Christmas Party! It was a wonderful event. A special thanks to the ladies of the Moose Lodge who volunteered their time to help host the event, and also to Santa, who took time out of his crazy December schedule to make a stop at the party - he was a joy! Another thanks to High school students Ben McGuire, Laurel Shakespeare, Katherine Buigie, and Lexi Rohrer, who brought gift bags for all who attended and joined in on the dancing as well!

It surely was a night to remember, and we look forward to it next year! Check out the Facebook picture album to catch a glimpse of the night.

    The Arc is beginning our annual Operation Santa program!  Many of you may already know that Operation Santa is a program that provides more than 250 individuals in Cabarrus County with their ONLY source of Christmas gifts.  These people have medical diagnoses of an intellectual/developmental disability and a severe financial strain which renders families unable to provide gifts during the holiday seasons.

    Our clients do not receive gifts from other agencies that provide holiday programs; therefore,  we need the generosity of so many people in our community to join our Operation Santa program to ensure that each infant, toddler, child, teenager, young adult and senior citizen we work with is able to enjoy a terrific Christmas morning!

If you can’t shop but would like to participate in Operation Santa, please know that this program requires financial contributions as well. Many people may go “unadopted”, and there is always much shopping to be done by Arc staffers for wrapping paper, boxes, ribbons, etc. as well as gifts, so we would be grateful for your financial support of this program as well!

Filled with warm smiles, beautiful singing, great food, and plenty of wonderful people, the thirty-seventh Annual Awards Banquet for the Arc was a great success. Thank you to all who came out, and a special thanks to all of the volunteers who helped, the Arc is only as good as it's volunteers!

Welcome to our new website! We will be regularly updating our site with the latest information on our events, services, and programs. You can share just about any page on our new site on facebook or twitter with just one click- just look for the 'like' button at the end of each page!

You might notice that we have a new domain name: "TheArcCabarrus.org" rather than the old "arccabarrus.org." This is in part to promote that we are "The Arc" and NOT the A.R.C.- we dropped the acronym back in 1992 and the r-word has no place in our name!
